Restaurants

The area enjoys a large number of restaurants which are generally very good offering both value for money and wonderful food. You can pay from as little as 10€ per head (and even this can sometimes even include a "flacon" of wine) to 50€ or more (with wine extra) at the more spectacular locations! Restaurant prices often vary according to the time of day - with midday usually cheaper than the evenings. Children are always welcomed and well catered for. Leaflets for tried and tested local restaurants are contained in the information folders which are in each cottage.

Wines and Vineyards

There are various "wine routes" you can follow in the area which take you past a number of vineyards where you can taste and buy wine. The local wines are light, and include good quality red, white and "champagne-style" wines. Like the chateaux these are largely to be found along the Loire. Vouvray and Montlouis are the areas to head for to the east of Tours, Chinon and Saumur to the west. All are about a 45-minute drive from La Bosniere.
