1.
LA BOSNIERE
The
property known as LA BOSNIERE (“the property”) comprises three cottages
which are offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by C.J.H. Seely
(“the Owner”) to the renter (“the Client”).
2.
PAYMENT
35% of the full rental charge for any letting is payable on reservation.
The
balance, plus an additional deposit (currently £50), is payable
no less than 8 weeks before the arrival date.
The
security deposit will be retained against breakages, exceptional
cleaning and any space heating costs. Any return of deposit will be
made within 2 weeks of departure.
Payment
should preferably be made direct to my bank. You must quote your surname as a
reference. Details of the bank account will be provided on
request. Alternatively you can send payment by cheque (made payable to
'Charles Seely') to my UK agent: Barry Hampson at 63 Passmore, Tinkers
Bridge, Milton Keynes, MK6 3DY.
3.
CANCELLATION
Once
a reservation has been made, the client becomes liable for payment of
the full rental charge, except to the extent that the owner may be able to offset his
losses by re-letting.
4.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Bookings
are taken from Saturday 4.00pm to Saturday 9.00am. Clients are asked to
leave the premises as they found them.
5. PARTY SIZE
A
maximum of six persons can be accommodated in cottages 1 & 2, and 4
persons in the smaller cottage No. 3. On no account may this number be exceeded
without prior written agreement. IT IS ALSO REGRETTED that daily visits
by friends cannot be permitted without the prior written permission of
the Owner as this may impinge on the use of the facilities by other
clients.
6.
CLIENTS RESPONSIBILITY
Under
French law the client is responsible for the property and its contents
whilst on holiday. The use of the accommodation and amenities is entirely at the
client’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for any personal
injury or for loss or damage to the clients’ and visitors’ belongings,
including cars and their contents.
7.
TRAVEL AND CANCELLATION INSURANCE
It
is strongly recommended that, from the date that the reservation is
made the client takes out Personal Travel and Cancellation Insurance to
cover personal liability, vehicle breakdown and full medical treatment.
8.
LIMITATION OF OWNERS LIABILITY
The
owner shall not be liable to the client:
(i) for any temporary defect or
stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in
respect of any equipment,
plant, machinery or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool;
(ii) for any loss, damage or injury
which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes,
or other matters beyond the
control of the Owner;
(iii) for any loss, damage or
inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property shall
be destroyed or
substantially damaged before the start of the rental period, and in any
such event, the Owner
shall, within seven days of notification to the Client, refund to the
Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.
